NHPO SUMMER RETREAT 2011

Each June for the past four years NHPO has hosted a weekend retreat in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. This popular NHPO activity keeps getting better and better.

As professionals, it is necessary for us to understand the issues of the day, the ins and outs of how our government works and the effects it has on our everyday lives. A large part of better understanding today’s issues lays in better understanding our past. What better way to learn history than to stand on the ground where history was made.

During this interactive fast paced retreat not much time is spent indoors. Briefings, Professional Development and Educational Seminars are often conducted in the field and at different locations throughout the District of Columbia.

Tours of the D.C. monuments and the Smithson Institute’s Museums are highlights of the NHPO Summer Retreat. Attendees will also experience political briefings, photo opportunities in front of the White House, view the Declaration of Independence, visit the Library of Congress, tour our nation’s capitol, watch U.S. currency being printed and much more.

The NHPO Summer Retreat is open to NHPO member’s family and friends. NHPO affiliate collegiate chapters and members of partnering corporations are also welcome.

NHPO is providing you this opportunity to become better informed on current issues and to have a guided tour of the most powerful city in the world.

Register today to make sure you have a front row seat to history. The NHPO Summer Retreat is limited and participants will be determined on a first come first serve basis.
